Our Story
Born from a
Passion for the Cup
Ember & Oak began in 2018 when founder Maya Chen returned from a year traveling through coffee-growing regions of East Africa and Central America. What she found wasn't just great coffee — it was community, craft, and a deep respect for the land.
We built this space to honor that journey. Every bean we source comes with a story: the farmer's name, the altitude, the processing method. We believe you deserve to know what's in your cup — and why it tastes the way it does.
